Appliance Service Technician

Run a route of residential and commercial appliance calls for the largest independent appliance service group in Western Canada.

The work

  • Diagnose and repair washers, dryers, ranges, fridges, dishwashers, and common commercial units.
  • Install replacement appliances for dealers and homeowners when the job calls for it.
  • Keep the van stocked, the notes clean, and the customer told what is actually happening.
  • Work with manufacturers and distributors on warranty jobs we already have the paperwork for.

You need

  • Hands-on appliance repair experience, or a closely related service trade.
  • A valid BC driver's licence and a clean enough record to be on a company vehicle.
  • Comfort working in people's homes and speaking plainly about the repair.
  • Willingness to work a route across Greater Vancouver.

Useful, not required

  • Manufacturer training (Whirlpool, GE, LG, Samsung, Bosch, or similar).
  • Your own basic hand tools. Specialty tools are provided.

What you get

  • Company vehicle for the route.
  • Pay set by ticket, years, and how clean your callbacks are.
  • Steady work. This is not a seasonal posting.
  • A shop and parts bench behind you, not a van and a prayer.
