01SMS Terms of Service
Program summary
By opting into SMS from a web form or other medium, you are agreeing to receive SMS messages from Vantage Service Group. This includes SMS messages for conversations (external). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. See privacy policy at www.vantageservicegroup.com/privacy. Message HELP for help. Reply STOP to any message to opt out.
The program is operated by Vantage Service Group Inc. and its operating companies in appliance repair, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, garage doors, car detailing, junk removal, and pressure washing. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of purchasing anything from us or of being considered for a job or a franchise.
Visit our Privacy Policy for privacy policy and these Terms & Conditions for Terms of Service.
02Types of messages you can expect
Once you opt in, the messages we send are operational and conversational. Depending on why you contacted us, you may receive:
- Conversational replies — two-way texts with our office or a technician about your enquiry, your quote, or a question about the work.
- Appointment reminders — confirmations, reminders before the visit, arrival windows, and technician-on-the-way notices.
- Scheduling and dispatch updates — reschedules, delays, and requests to confirm a time.
- Service and job alerts — parts arrival notices, warranty or authorization updates, and follow-up after a completed job.
- Account notifications — invoice, payment, and receipt notices related to work we performed.
- Careers and franchise conversations — interview scheduling and follow-up, where you gave us your number for that purpose.
- Customer care and review requests — a request for feedback after your service visit.
- Promotional messages, only where you separately agreed — seasonal maintenance offers and company news. These are only sent where you consented to marketing messages, and every one includes opt-out instructions.
03Frequency, rates, and carriers
- Messaging frequency may vary. The number of messages depends on your conversation with us and the work being scheduled. Conversational threads can run several messages in a day; a booking normally involves a handful of messages around the appointment.
- Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard message and data charges apply to messages you send and receive. Check your plan if you are unsure.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Delivery is not guaranteed. Messages depend on carrier and network conditions. For anything urgent, call or email us instead of relying on a text.
- Supported carriers include the major Canadian and United States wireless carriers. Availability can change without notice.
04How you opt in
You opt in by giving us your mobile number and agreeing to be texted. That can happen when you tick the SMS consent box on a form on this website, when you write your number and consent on a work order or service agreement, when you tell our office over the phone that we can text you, or when you text us first at a number we published.
We keep a record of the date, time, and source of your consent. Only the person who owns or is the authorized user of the mobile number may opt that number in.
05How to opt out and get help
To opt out at any time, text STOP. Reply STOP to any message from us and we will stop sending texts to that number. We will send one confirmation message and then no further texts, other than a confirmation if you later opt back in. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, END, QUIT, and CANCEL are also honoured.
For assistance, text HELP or visit our website at https://vantageservicegroup.com/. You can also email hello@vantageservicegroup.com and a person will answer. To opt back in after opting out, text START to the same number or ask our office to re-enroll you.
Opting out of text messages does not cancel a scheduled appointment and does not stop us from reaching you by phone or email about work already in progress.
06Eligibility and your number
You must be the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number you give us, and you must be of the age of majority in your province or state. Tell us if your number changes or is reassigned so we do not text someone who never consented. We may stop messaging a number at any time, including where we believe it has changed hands.
07Privacy and SMS consent
How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy. In short: SMS consent is not shared with third parties. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. The only parties involved are the messaging and telecommunications providers that deliver messages on our behalf under contract.
08Website terms of use
By using www.vantageservicegroup.com you agree to these terms. Use the site for lawful purposes only. Do not attempt to interfere with the site, scrape it in a way that degrades service, probe it for vulnerabilities, misrepresent yourself, or use it to send unsolicited commercial messages. We may suspend access where use breaches these terms.
09Content, brands, and accuracy
The text, layout, graphics, logos, and the four-bar Vantage identity on this site are owned by Vantage Service Group Inc. or used with permission, and may not be copied or used commercially without written consent. Third-party names are the property of their owners and any reference to them does not imply endorsement.
Site content is provided for general information. Company details, verticals, hiring needs, service coverage, and expansion plans change, and pages may not be up to date at the moment you read them. Nothing on this site is legal, financial, or technical advice for your specific situation.
10Enquiries, applications, and submissions
Our web forms open a draft message in your own email application, so a form is not submitted until you send that email. Do not send confidential, sensitive, or privileged information through email or text. Information you send about a job application, franchise interest, or supplier proposal may be shared internally as described in our Privacy Policy. Unsolicited business ideas or proposals are not treated as confidential.
11Service work, quotes, and warranties
Service work is performed by the Vantage operating company that attends your job, under the work order, quote, invoice, and warranty terms that company provides. Prices, availability, arrival windows, and diagnostic outcomes quoted by text, email, or phone are estimates until confirmed in writing on a work order. Warranty coverage on parts and labour, including manufacturer or dealer warranty work, is governed by the applicable warranty document rather than by this website.
12Franchise information is not an offer
Information on this site about franchise opportunities is for general interest only. It is not a franchise offer, and no offer is made in any jurisdiction until the disclosure documents required by applicable franchise legislation have been delivered to you and any required waiting period has passed. Any figures discussed are not a guarantee or projection of results.
13Disclaimers and limitation of liability
This website is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of harmful components, and we are not responsible for the content of sites we link to.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vantage Service Group Inc. and its operating companies, directors, officers, and employees are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of this website or of the SMS program, including undelivered or delayed messages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including under consumer protection legislation, and nothing here limits our obligations under a signed work order or warranty.
14Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction over any dispute, without limiting any right you have to bring a complaint before a regulator or a small claims tribunal where you live.
15Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our business, the messaging program, or the law changes. The "Last updated" date shows when they last changed, and continued use of the site or the SMS program after a change means you accept the updated terms.
